Hi I'm Jess!
It’s just me here at Daydream. I am a stay-at-home mom turned Florist! Growing up I had a million dream jobs; dolphin trainer, veterinarian, artist, cosmetologist, art therapist, just to name a few. If you noticed the themes of nature, creativity, and helping others… It makes sense how I ended up here. I'm endlessly curious, love learning, trying new things and helping others. The flower world is full of opportunity to do all of those things. I've loved learning more about both farming and design through various courses and hands on training. I feel so grateful to be here doing my true dream job and its all because of you guys!
People often ask me what my favorite flower is.
It feels like an impossible question to answer. Not only are
there so many beautiful varieties out there, but many also carry emotional connections. Flowers create memories by engaging the senses and making them easier to recall later on. This is a big reason why I love flowers and why Daydream Flowers was created, to help build memories and connections in a way that only flowers can. Adding flowers to celebrations, memorials, milestones, even the small everyday things, help create memories that last a lifetime.
The idea to create a flower farm started growing during a really challenging time in my life. In 2020 I lost one of my sisters to suicide. My best memories with her always had flowers; like my 3 little sisters and I dancing with the cosmos, butterfly houses, time in our grandparents’ gardens, backyard flower perfumes and so many more. To honor those memories, I offered to do the flowers for her memorial. It was a very special and healing thing for me. Even now I grow cosmos just for her. This experience solidified why flowers have always called to me. They connect us to each other, the earth, ourselves, and the things bigger than us. They teach us that all stages of growth hold value, even the ugly "winter time" ones.
